Present at the ceremony in St. Mary’s, Ontario were fellow honorees Rich Harden, John Olerud, Joe Wiwchar and Jesse Barfield. As a member of that class, Boucher played 35 major league baseball games, including 15 at the Montreal Expos, before becoming a coach and recruiter. In the case of Mr Doucet, who was elected in 2020, he was the voice of Expos for 33 years.
Another ceremony was held earlier in the day where the street leading to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame was renamed in honor of legendary pitcher Ferguson Jenkins.
