Already available in London, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo, the tool is now available in several major European cities: Amsterdam, Venice, Florence, Dublin and Paris. In France, 13 iconic locations have been modeled in 3D, including 11 in the Parisian capital. How it works ?
To use the immersive view feature, simply click on the location in question in the Google Maps app. For example, by searching for the Eiffel Tower, Google provides access to the Immersive View tool in the tab at the bottom of the page.
Once on the page, you can navigate through the most iconic tower in the world by clicking on the selected area. The user can also advance or advance the time to change the weather, temperature or occupancy at a location.

The realistic images are based on NeRF (Neural Radiance Fields) technology, an algorithm that automatically reconstructs a 3D location based on the photos stored in the database. The algorithm compiles aerial photos from satellites and Google Street View.
