Olivia and Father Tenório will be in the cinema screening room in the workers’ village, watching the end of a love story.
“Novels always have a happy ending in the cinema. It’s a shame it doesn’t have that in real life,” says Olivia, very sentimentally.

Tenório will then gently lift her face with his hand:
“You are very special, Olivia… I’m sure you will still feel the love for cinema,” says the priest.
“I already live in love. All I need is my happy ending!” the young woman will say.
And spontaneously, Olivia will kiss Tenório, who agrees to the kiss! But after realizing what he’s doing, he’ll walk away from Olivia:
“Virgin Mary. That couldn’t happen…” says the priest.
“Why not? The kiss is an expression of love, the most sublime feeling,” the girl will explain.

Tenório will point out that he is a man of God and that this kind of love is not for him.
“Why not? He is also a man of flesh and blood. I may be inexperienced but I had a feeling you liked my kiss. You reacted!” Olivia will say.
