Intimate evening with Roch Voisine

SuperFrancoFête 2023: Roch Voisine will host with Coeur de Pirate, Gims and Mentissa

More than three decades after the Francophonie was capsized with its mega success helen, Roch Voisine will be part of a host quartet leading the second presentation of the SuperFrancoFête on August 30th at the Agora du Port de Québec.

At his side, the New Brunswick artist finds another Quebec voice that has found success on both sides of the Atlantic: Cœur de Pirate.

“It takes names that resonate,” said the show’s artistic director Isabelle Viviers, who was asked to explain her choices.

The group of animators is completed by the Franco-Congolese rapper Gims, who will also present his solo show on August 28th at the Agora, and the Belgian singer Mentissa, who made a strong impression last year when she performed his title Et Bam during this SuperFrancoFête.

As in 2022, when Garou, Nolwenn Leroy and Angélique were in charge of hosting the show, the team of presenters covers the three main continents of Francophonie, North America, Europe and Africa.

Francos well represented outside of Quebec

In addition to the four animators, Diane Dufresne, Axelle Red, Khaled, Patrice Michaud and several artists to be discovered fill the SuperFrancoFête poster.

Unlike 2022, special attention was paid to French-speaking artists outside of Quebec. In addition to Roch Voisine, the group of Maritime Radio Radio will be present, as well as the Ontarians Émilie-Claire Barlow and Le FloFranco.

“In 2022 there was no shortage of it, but this year we took care of it,” says Isabelle Viviers, who says she had no trouble convincing artists to accept the invitation to come to Quebec and play music in French to celebrate.

“The artists talked to each other. When I called Patrice Michaud he told me that he had met Salebarbes and that the guys had told him he had to be on the show. Mentissa who is back resolved the issue within 24 hours. She enjoyed her experience so much last year. »
