Journalist Paulo Roberto Martins, known as Paulo Morsa, died of heart problems on Monday evening (19). The sports commentator was 78 years old and started his career at a radio station in the city of Santos, where he was born, before finding fame on Rádio Gazeta, Rádio Globo, TV Cultura, Record and Band.
“Santos deeply regrets the death of journalist Paulo Roberto Martins, Paulo Morsa. The former commentator, a big Santos fan, respected and praised Peixão in his appearances on radio and television. “We wish the relatives and friends a lot of strength,” Santos published on social networks.
A reference in sports journalism, Paulo Morsa was from Santos and worked in television and radio throughout his career. He received the Aceesp Award (Association of Sports Journalists of the State of São Paulo) twice, in 2002 and 2015.
