- Brussels is planning aid of 50 billion euros over four years for Kiev. “We propose a financial reserve for the next four years. “This includes both loans and grants,” said EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
- A SAMP/T surface-to-air defense system has been delivered to Ukraine, Emmanuel Macron announced on Monday, June 19. The SAMP/T Mamba is the first European medium-range missile defense system. It is designed to help Ukraine repel attacks from Russian drones, missiles and planes. Paris had announced the delivery of this equivalent of the American Patriot at the beginning of February.
- Kakhovka Dam: The UN accuses Russia of blocking aid for disaster victims. Russia was accused by the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator in Ukraine on Sunday of obstructing the delivery of aid to victims of the dam destruction in areas under its control in southern Ukraine.
