Havana-. The Forecasting Center of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology (INSMET) reported that Tropical Storm Bret continues to increase slightly in organization and intensity today.
As of 6 p.m., its central region is 1,150 kilometers east-southeast of Barbados, in the southern group of Lesser Antilles, said the No. 3 Tropical Storm Warning posted on the official Insmet website.
According to the text, Bret’s central pressure has dropped to 1,060 hectoPascals and his translation speed is 30 kilometers per hour (km/h).
The tropical storm is moving on a near-west course and its maximum sustained winds have increased to 75 km/h, with stronger gusts.
Bret will continue to gain organization and intensity over the next 24 hours as he approaches the Lesser Antilles arc on a similar course and forward speed.
The next tropical cyclone alert for this system will be issued tomorrow, Wednesday, at 6:00 p.m.
