Occupation Double announces a new web series, and no, it’s not After OD – Narcity

Fans of find love reality show Occupation Double are in for a treat this summer. While we’re used to seeing After OD at this time of year and many wondered if we’d have a sequel after this controversial season, Noovo just announced an exciting twist. There’s a super cute version that’s airing, and it’s called Couples in Love. Although Occupation Double’s production hasn’t confirmed whether Couples in Love will officially replace After OD — or not — we have small doubts that the show will decide to leave the 2022 season in Martinique and focus on its success: the still duets in love, and the next edition with Alicia Moffet and Frédérick Robichaud as presenters.

From June 22nd we can follow the adventures but also the everyday life of several couples born of the popular reality show: Claudie Mercier and Mathieu Pellerin (OD Afrique du Sud), Noémie Marleau and Vincent Beauregard (OD Chez Nous) , Andréanne Moran and Carl Lacourse (OD Chez Nous), Stacey Giannopoulos and Jamie Watt (OD Chez Nous), Ines Lalouad and Stevens Dorcelus (OD Dans l’Ouest), Clodelle and Alex Yelle (OD Dans l’Ouest), Alexandra Lapierre and Yannick Martel (OD Dans l’Ouest) and the pair formed at the recent edition in Martinique, Aïssa St-Jean and Walide Aouadi.

The number of episodes is not disclosed, but we can understand that it is a web series when we use the term “from” and that we are following at least eight different couples during the broadcast on Noovo.ca. For comparison, the Western Canada season’s After OD spanned ten episodes, one per week.

We suspect we’ll learn more details about the lives of Andréanne and Carl’s new parents, who are also expecting a second child, about the relationship between Claudie and Mathieu, arguably the most passionate couple in ‘OD’s history to have gotten engaged 2020, or even that we FINALLY get the details of Clodelle and Alex’s love affair that has been kept secret for well over a year. The trailer also confirms that despite their setbacks, the Martinique edition will have formed a lasting couple. In fact, Aïssa and Walide are always together and confide in everything.

The Quebec TV giant hasn’t announced who will be in charge of this very special series. In the past, comedian Félix-Antoine Tremblay and comedian Marie-Lyne Joncas took turns directing the reunion-style show for the public.

Beginning this fall, Occupation Double will resume, for the first time with a new host duo, the pair consisting of singer Alicia Moffet and former OD participant Frédérick Robichaud. For the 2023 edition, singles in search of love and adventure will fly to Andalucia in southern Spain.
