L7nnon invests in rare sneakers and chains at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton debut GQ Brasil

L7nnon is in Paris for the premiere of Pharrell Williams in the creative direction of Louis Vuitton, which will take place this Tuesday (20) at 16:30 (Brasília time; 21:30 in Paris). For the occasion, he invested in lots of gold chains and rings to match the brand’s white suit, with embossed monograms.

On his head, the rapper wears nagô braids covered by a durag. On his feet he uses a Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low by Virgil Abloh White Redsneakers signed by Virgil Abloh and released posthumously last year.

A set of 200 pairs was sold during the launch, fetching a record $25.3 million (approx. R$136 million) in an auction organized by Sotheby’s. The proceeds went to a scholarship fund aimed at black students who want to pursue a career in fashion as a tribute to Abloh.

L7nnon is one of the closest names to Louis Vuitton in Brazil. Besides him, Anitta is another guest representing the country. She shares a close relationship with Pharrell Williams, the last time they met was at a Tiffany & Co. party in April this year. Both performed together in 2019 and released “Goals”, a song with his lyrics and her voice.

The presentation will take place on the Pont Neuf (“New Bridge”), the oldest bridge to cross the Seine, built from 1578 to 1607. The collection, entitled ‘Lovers’, is set to explore love affairs through the eyes of Williams, who was appointed creative director of the men’s collection at brand in February.

L7 has been in Paris since at least Sunday (18th) when he posted pictures of himself outside the Louis Vuitton store on the ChampsÉlysées. In the post, he showed the reaction of one of his parents with a message that read: “The man is being abused too much hahaha. You deserve everything good in this life son, you go against statistics hahaha.”
