Taylor Swift Announces New Dates for Eras Tour in Europe, Australia and Asia

Pop superstar Taylor Swift announced new concert dates for her Eras Tour in Asia, Australia and Europe on Tuesday, extending her performances through the summer of 2024.

While Swift’s tour originally featured just over 50 dates, it’s now grown to over 100, according to Forbes, with the international leg of the Eras Tour kicking off in Mexico City this August — after which Swift will hang up her guitar until November , before resuming her stadium shows.

Swift’s Asian shows kick off next year with four nights at Japan’s Tokyo Dome, starting February 7th. She will then visit Melbourne and Sydney (Australia) as well as Singapore before embarking on the European leg of the tour with two shows in Paris in May. Barring additional dates, Swift will wrap up the Eras Tour on August 17, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London.

The Eras Tour got off to a rocky start when pre-sale tickets led to a lawsuit from angry fans against Ticketmaster, who claimed the company violated antitrust laws designed to protect competition in the marketplace.

The lawsuit alleges that Ticketmaster knowingly sent out pre-sale codes to more fans than the company could accommodate. As a result, millions of fans were denied the opportunity to purchase tickets.

But with Swift playing to a sold-out crowd no matter what, the tour is on track to make her a billionaire and could end up being one of the highest-grossing tours of all time. According to Forbes, the Eras Tour could net Swift a whopping $500 million on top of her current estimated net worth of around $570 million.

Some cities are even experiencing a boost in their local economies due to Swift’s tour dates, with CBS Philadelphia reporting increases in visitor center ticket sales and Philly hotel reservations.

Swift’s Pittsburgh shows last weekend set a new record for the venue – the second show of her tour in the city drew an attendance of 73,117 at Acrisure Stadium.
