Nine other people remain hospitalized, several of them in critical condition. At the time of the accident, there were a total of 25 people on the bus between the ages of 58 and 88 who were on their way to a casino.

According to the first findings of the ongoing investigation, the bus would have entered the intersection while the semi-trailer was approaching.
