Her reaction is extremely touching when she receives the call from Lanny McDonald and Mike Gartner, who will share the news on Wednesday.

The one nicknamed Coco is struggling to find her words and we understand her since her husband passed away less than three years ago on December 13, 2020.

“You don’t know what it all means,” she manages to say.

“It’s a dream come true,” she then told Lanny McDonald.

“He really wanted that moment to happen. […] I’m sure he’s very happy from up there,” adds Ms. Lacroix.

Meanwhile, Gartner and McDonald struggle to contain their emotions, and the second takes the opportunity to praise the achievements of Pierre Lacroix.

“He’s connected to so many great hockey talents. He changed the lives of so many young players, but also the lives of the people he works with every day.
