Marjo will not come back The voice next winter for the 10th season of the popular music competition.

On deliberation night, she spent Tuesday through Wednesday contemplating the proposal made to her to resume the red chair for a second straight year, but after careful consideration eventually declined the offer.
“When I got up in the morning, I said to myself, ‘No, I’m not!'” she told the QMI Agency on Thursday afternoon, on the sidelines of rehearsals for the big Quebec National Day show in Montreal, where she will be performing this Saturday at the Maisonneuve Park participates.
The 69-year-old singer-songwriter stressed that she doesn’t want to block her schedule for several months, as the TVA program dictates, either starting next fall for the first recordings or during the winter, especially for live broadcasts.
“I’m reserving 2024 to do something different on a personal level and professionally, but ultimately not for La Voix,” she added, indicating that she’ll be multiplying the shows through next December.
“It is I, Marjolaine Morin, who also decides not to tour in 2024. I’ll do things I enjoy, not too far, I’ll work anyway, but much less to access the things that are lying around. I’ve said so much about things I don’t even have the time to deal with, it doesn’t make sense.
She still thought she was going to do La Voix until the last minute. “I would have liked that, but I can’t separate myself into two parts. I have to make a choice and I didn’t even hesitate. We artists need to listen to each other because we are ready to say yes to anything.
She assures that this is not a lack of interest in the program produced by Productions Déferlantes in collaboration with Quebecor Content. Remember, TVA confirmed the return of La Voix on Tuesday, which is exceptionally late for this type of big production.
A “beautiful personal challenge”
The interpreter of the successes Chats sauvage, Provocante and S’il faut “loved” taking on this “beautiful personal challenge”, which, as she points out, requires a lot of time and energy, given that the audience is only the “fifth” of all the works looks done by the coaches on TV, she stressed.
“I keep from all this the human experience of being with the contestants, guiding them, sometimes comforting them,” said Marjo, who was very expressive on the set of La Voix last winter.

The Productions Déferlantes team is said to be in negotiations with the next occupants of the red armchairs and even with presenter Charles Lafortune, who has been with the show since the first season in 2013.
