The weather forecasts from MeteoSwiss were correct. From 5.30 p.m. storms broke out in the Lake Geneva Region. Heavy rain followed by thunderstorms suddenly darkened the sky Thursday afternoon. While hail, lightning and lightning strikes were to be expected in the canton of Vaud, the situation seems to have calmed down again from 8.30 p.m.
Nevertheless, during the night from Thursday to Friday there will be some more showers, which according to MeteoSwiss “gradually lose their stormy character”.
According to their future projections, a normal short should return in the next few days. Clouds will remain in the foothills of the Alps on Friday morning and a final shower is possible in Valais. The sun should then take its place in the sky, first in the plains, then in the mountains.
If a north-west wind and a north breeze blow in the Lake Geneva basin this Friday, the whole weekend will remain sunny with maximum temperatures around 30°C.
