On World Beetle Day this Saturday (24) in Ponta Negra there will be an exhibition with vintage cars A Crítica

With a new date, this Saturday (24th) the Beetle Clube de Manaus is hosting an exhibition of vintage cars to celebrate World Beetle Day, celebrated on June 22nd. The event brings together old cars of all models and eras, as well as a loyal and passionate audience for the classics. The meeting, already a tradition in Manaus, will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. in the Ponta Negra car park, in the west zone of the capital.

The President of the Manaus Beetle Club, Climário Cabral Filho, says that his passion for the Beetle comes from the family, from feelings and memories related to a family member but also to others who love the classics. “Who has never wanted to own a Beetle? And what unites us today is the desire to be able to express this passion for the Beetle and to want to show this relic of the time,” he emphasized.

World Beetle Day was created by German engineer Alexander Gromow, one of the world’s leading beetle researchers and former President of the Beetle Club of Brazil. According to Climário, the Beetle Club is hosting the event in honor of the “sovereign of the classics” in Manaus eight years ago.

“It could not be otherwise in Manaus, the Fusca Clube de Manaus will honor this world icon. Come and see different models from the period where you will have a variety of classic cars, Beetle, Opala, Chevette, Ômega, “Monza, Kombi, Gol, cars with gigantic features called Brutas, and several classic cars” , he invited.

Founded on January 20th, 2016, Fusca Clube de Manaus currently has more than 300 members or a passion for the most advertised, sought after and sold classic cars. And anyone who shares this passion for the classics already has a guaranteed program on Saturday. During the event there will be performances by bands that will liven up the tribute to World Beetle Day.
