“When the kids were toddlers, everything we needed was at King’s Beach,” he said.

“Parks, playgrounds, beaches, local shops, pubs, restaurants… we rarely had to use the car.

“When the kids grow up we can surfboard down to King’s Beach or drive over the hill to Moffat Beach, depending on the wind and wave direction.”

Known for his cheeky sense of humor, Steven made headlines in 2019 after his biopic was announced.

The sports hero attacked Liam Hemsworth, who is said to have played the gold medalist.

“The script was written, but the producers didn’t even give it to the actors,” Steven told the Daily Telegraph at the time.

“Do you think there is a market for it at Sportsbet?” he added. “Liam Hemsworth is the front runner. I said his biceps are too big and his quads are too small.’
