According to the recall, no illnesses have been reported related to this fruit recall.
“Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the frail or elderly, and others with compromised immune systems. Although healthy individuals may experience only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriage and stillbirth in pregnant women. Any consumer who is concerned about a medical condition should consult a physician,” the FDA recall said.
