Spain, a honeymoon couple stays in Mallorca in a super cheap hotel: the hotelier forces them to… Southern Excellencies

Spain, in Mallorca, a couple find themselves in a hotel that is too cheap: What they are forced to do because of the hotelier is absurd!

Obviously, when tourist spots are overrun with holidaymakers they need to have strict rules, but these mostly relate to where you are on the beach or how you dress. Instead, a couple on their honeymoon have been faced with a shocking experience due to a strange ‘law’. In short, it’s really true that saving never equals making money, and this case is the clearest proof of that.

It’s really complicated to book in a place without ever having seen it or knowing it. Online reviews, when they exist, can be deceiving, so this couple experienced the worst of the worst: they had a nightmare vacation instead of a romantic honeymoon. The two lovers, 36-year-old Magdalena Brylinska-Beaton and 37-year-old Andrew Beaton organized everything, at a two-star resort in Mallorca, Spain, and at excellent prices. They found both positive and negative comments on the internet about the hotel in question and decided not to give any weight to the malicious comments as the whole trip only cost £860.

“Saving is never the same as earning” is a saying that a couple experienced first-hand on a trip to Mallorca, Spain

The description of the hotel says it is basic but clean. However, even before arriving at the hotel, the newlyweds began to suspect when the taxi driver who took them there and knew the name of the place – Sun Club El Dorado – started laughing. When they arrived, Magadalena and Andrew were given two colored plastic cups. The moment this happened, the receptionist told them, “Please introduce them whenever you want to order a drink.”

Trouble is, if the couple thought it was a figure of speech… It wasn’t the case at all. On the first night, the couple went to the bar and ordered a sangria, but the reply they got was, “Where are your cups? You can only drink from them.” And the same was true for morning coffee, for example. It’s absurd that the staff didn’t even wash the two glasses then. “I had to wash them myself with shower gel,” said a shocked Magdalena.

Ultimately, the holiday was anything but economically advantageous. The couple had to rush to find alternative accommodation with no refund other than the €11 city tax. Thankfully, with great food and ‘regular’ glassware, the rest of the holiday was a lot less stressful.
