Assault charges against Raiders WR Davante Adams dropped after he shoved a Kansas City cameraman in October – Yahoo Sports

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams will not be charged with assault after his case was dropped on June 5, a Kansas City District Court spokeswoman said Friday.

The case stems from an incident in October when Adams pushed a cameraman immediately after the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Adams shoved the cameraman while the wideout headed to the locker room. He apologized shortly afterwards the incident.

Adams was not suspended by the league but was charged with assault by the state of Missouri and had to appear in court on June 26.

Although criminal proceedings against Adams have been dropped, the victim, identified as Park Zebley, filed a civil assault allegation against Adams in May. This case is still pending. He also named the Chiefs, the Raiders and two other companies in the lawsuit.

Zebley, who worked for a local business contracted by ESPN, said in the lawsuit that he feared for his life after the incident, was diagnosed with symptoms of a concussion and was harassed online.

JR Hobbs, Adams’ attorney, declined to comment Friday.
