Most shopping centers and supermarkets remain closed on Saturday for Saint Jean Baptiste Day. This applies to Promenades Gatineau, Galeries de Hull and Galeries Aylmer.
However, some bars, restaurants and small shops will remain open, as will most pharmacies. However, it is advisable to contact each establishment before traveling or consult their website.

The Gatineau sports center and the Paul Pelletier and Lucien-Houle water sports centers will be open on Saturday 24 June. It will also be the beaches and outdoor pools.
The outdoor centers Lac-Leamy and Lac-Beauchamp will also be open.

The Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) is offering a standard, free service to mark Quebec’s National Day.
On the Transcollines side, land lines will not be operational on Friday 23rd June. On the other hand, the on-demand service will be available according to its usual schedule. During the Saint-Jean weekend, users have access to the normal service: the free CCN shuttle (line 924) and the TAD (Transcollines on Demand).

In Gatineau, parking is free on municipal holidays. Additionally, street parking is metered only Monday through Friday, 7am to 5pm. Parking in Saint-Jean will therefore be free.

The ticket office of the Salle Odyssée at the Maison de la Culture will be closed on Saturday.
Galerie Montcalm and Espace Pierre-Debain will be closed on Saturday June 24th and Monday June 26th due to a public holiday in the city of Gatineau. The ticket offices of the Théâtre de l’Île and the Center culturel du Vieux-Aylmer are only closed on June 24th.
