The world is watching the fight between Putin and the Wagner Group and is closely observing the “ceasefire”.

This is nothing new since the beginning war in Ukraine, In February last year, the world’s attention turned to the region Russia. The world’s major countries are closely following the movements of both sides of the conflict which has become a topic of discussion at meetings of heads of state and government.

And the Wagner Group uprising against the Russian government was no different. When mercenary troops advanced towards the Russian capital Moscow, Western authorities protested.

US President Joe Biden held an extraordinary meeting with allied European leaders over the phone, according to a White House statement. French President Emmanuel Macron took part in the conversation; Chancellor Olaf Scholz; and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

In a note, Biden and European authorities reiterated their “unwavering support” for Ukraine.

European Union countries bordering Russian territories have issued notices banning the entry of Russian citizens.

On the other end, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, a Russia ally, spoke to Vladimir Putin and urged the Russian to act with “common sense.”

Belarus, in turn, brokered an agreement between Russia and the Wagner Group to temporarily suspend the conflict.

What about Brazil?

Brazil has taken a neutral position in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. President Lula avoided commenting on the Wagner Group uprising against the Russian government at a press conference in Paris on Saturday (24).

“I don’t know the extent of the rebellion. I’m just asking you this: who knows when I’ll be back in Brazil, the next day I’ll already have all sorts of information because I’ll be talking to a lot of people about ‘this socalled rebellion,'” the Brazilian president said.

In a statement through official channels, the Brazilian embassy in Moscow recommended that Brazilians living in the region of conflict between Wagner and the Russian government avoid “gathering and unnecessary resettlement.”

Ukraine is also manifesting itself

As the internal conflict between Russian paramilitary group Wagner and Vladimir Putin escalated, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared that “Russia’s weakness is evident”.
