App Store Connect, a platform for publishers who want to make their applications available on Apple’s various operating systems, now supports visionOS. This program equips the Vision Pro, a mixed reality headset from the Apple company that will be launched next year at a price of 3,500 dollars in the United States, but whose arrival timetable in France is still unknown.

A benefit of visionOS support via App Store Connect is the ability to support cross-platform in-app purchases. Please note that if tomorrow you decide to offer you a film on your iPhone, the presenter may also make it available on your headphones if the option to do so has been enabled in the background.

A developer kit on the way?

Developers who want to discover visionOS can already do so with the first beta version of the operating system, which has recently become available and is accessible on Macs via Xcode. The ideal opportunity to test the compatibility of their technologies with a 360 degree environment, even if it is not yet possible to take control of the helmet itself.

Apple hasn’t said if a trial is in the works, but given what the company suggested when showcasing its homebrew computer chips, it’s very likely. Thus, according to some rumors, the Vision Pro developer kit could be released by July at the latest, but Cupertino has not yet confirmed the file.
