Sunrise star Sam Mac reveals his mum texts him to update him on his on-air wardrobe issues
He’s the popular sunrise weatherman who doesn’t mind risking his ego for a laugh.
And on Monday it was no different as Sam Mac revealed on social media that his mum had texted him to let him know he had a white mark on his jacket.
“Good morning Sam, you have some white spots on the right shoulder of your jacket!” xx’ his mother Loretta wrote next to a smiley face.
“Oops, I meant the top of your sleeve xx”.
But despite his mother’s warning early in the morning, it was too late.

And on Monday it was no different as the 41-year-old revealed on social media that his mum had texted him to let him know he had a white spot on his jacket
Sam then shared footage of his morning weather session, zooming in on the white spot on his jacket arm.
It comes just weeks after Mac paid a sweet tribute to his co-star David “Kochie” Koch following his surprise departure from the hit breakfast show.
Sam shared a screenshot on Instagram of the words of support Kochie wrote to him in 2016, congratulating him on a job well done on his first day at work.

“Buddy, that was weather at its finest. “It was real, it had a connection to our heartland, it had charm,” Kochie’s lyrics began.
‘This road is the face of Australia and we don’t see it often enough.’ Great morning, cheers, Kochie.’
He also shared a photo of his mother Loretta making a splash with Kochie at the 2019 Logies, where Sam was nominated for a Gold Logie.
This comes after Mac recently paid a sweet tribute to co-host David “Kochie” Koch after learning of his surprise departure from the hit breakfast show. Both pictured
Sam explained in the caption that receiving those words of support from Kochie meant a lot to him.
“That was my first day! I didn’t even have the job. “I had no idea if I fit in or if I bombed spectacularly,” he began.
“The only feedback I got that day was from the star of the show, Kochie! It might seem like a simple gesture, but in the gory business of television, that level of support and kindness is surprisingly rare.

Sam’s celebrity friends quickly agreed.
