Warriors rumours: ‘Strong Confidence’ Draymond Green re-signs to multi-year deal – Golden State of Mind

Their top priority will be deciding what to do with starting power forward Draymond Green, who is reportedly turning down his player option to become an unrestricted free agent this season. Still, the Warriors remain confident Green can still land a multi-year contract, according to NBA insider Marc Stein in his latest Substack article.

The three-year term mentioned by Stein was circulated due to news early in the season when Green was discussing the possibility of retiring. During an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Green said he has no interest in playing into his 40s and would rather retire once he’s played 15 seasons in the league. With the 32-year-old Green already boasting 11 seasons of NBA experience, the reported three-year deal should hopefully see him finish his career with Golden State and the rest of the Warriors core.
