Every obstacle is removed in the first few minutes of the footage. The Mole not only reconstructs with unusual consistency the landscapes of the circus, the headquarters of British espionage, but also sets the misty characters of Le Carré vibrating, caught in deceit and betrayal.

War Horse offers a dramatic tour of various World War I locations, following the footsteps of a horse that serves as a link between various characters. A film that arrives dejected by the tender look Spielberg takes on the story; Perhaps there is no need to lament a recurring trait of the filmmaker, however, and instead delight in his visual talents, expressed in memorable sequences such as the British cavalry advancing through the wheat fields, or in visual discoveries such as the escape from… the howitzer that shuttles between two trenches and tells two of the protagonists.
