Brits are calling for a referendum to suspend support for Ukraine and end the UK crisis

The petition calls for an end to arms shipments and for the country to exercise its peaceful neutrality on the conflict.

sputnik More than 11,000 people signed a petition published on the UK Parliament’s official website, calling for a referendum to halt arms sales to the Kiev regime.

The aim of the petition is to persuade the British government to at least change its policy, including with regard to economic sanctions against Russia, which are driving up prices in the country, mainly due to rising energy prices.

In addition, the petition aims to halt arms shipments and persuade the country to remain peacefully neutral in relation to the conflict.

The British, who signed the petition, accuse the country’s authorities of intervening on one side of the conflict in Ukraine, ignoring the views of citizens who are suffering the economic fallout.

“These include increases in energy prices, the cost of living, interest rates, inflation, unemployment, high taxes and fees, as well as strikes, commercial damage and reductions in government services,” the petition reads.

PROCEED TO RECOMMENDATIONS

If the petition reaches 100,000 signatures, the initiative can be debated in Parliament, but it currently has just over 11,400 signatures.
