Director Homero Salles who was Working partner of Gugu Liberato at SBT and Record TV, issued a statement full of information about the intimate life of the presenter and doctor Rose Miriam di Matteo. Salles, who was considered a famous righthand man, claimed they never had a relationship, revealed an agreement between the two and even explained why Rose Miriam was chosen from Gugu to be mothers to his children.
Gugu and Rose Miriam have known each other for a long time. They maintained a friendly relationship. However, this loving relationship never developed into a sexual relationship, according to Salles. The presenter’s right hand assured that Rose was chosen to be the mother of Gugu’s children because she was “trustworthy”.

According to the director, the relationship between Gugu and Rose Miriam was peaceful until 2011, when it became necessary to create a “document” on raising children. He explained that a lawyer told the doctor at the time that she should have more things than Gugu gave her.
Salles also reiterated in his statement that Gugu Rose helped Miriam financially. The director indicated that it was the former SBT contractor who helped the doctor change her car, for example. He was also the one who funded Rose Miriam’s medical school.
Gugu’s former righthand man also said that they only travel together with their children once a year as a family. However, the couple had separate bedrooms. So Salles reinforced that Moderator and Rose Miriam never had any relationshipnor as lovers, nor as husband and wife.

After Gugu Liberato’s death in November 2019, Homero Salles searched for Rose Miriam and proposed an arrangement to her. “I didn’t go to the funeral service in São Paulo because I said goodbye to Gugu in the hospital… I waited for Rose in the US and showed her by drawing the values of the will with lots of sugar,” said the director in his statement.
According to him, Gugu left the inheritance to his children and nephews because he knew that the younger generation would take care of the older one. “I told Rose that if she sued, she would take away her children’s fortune. She told me her sister was living on rent, I said we were transferring a property; “She said she wanted a monthly amount, I said she would get pocket money like Gugu’s mother,” Salles explained.
At the end of his statement he said former work partner and personal friend of Gugu responded if he had any grievances with the presenter’s expartner. “I don’t feel angry or hurt Rose and the kids, but I will never forgive them for going to court… You threw Gugu’s name in the dirt with all this exposure,” Salles lamented.
Though Rose Miriam was not named in the inheritance, Gugu left the doctor a R$6 million luxurious mansion in Alphaville, in the greater São Paulo area. The plot has 1,020 square meters. In addition, she receives a monthly payment of 10,000 dollars (about 48,000 R$).
