The Vegas Golden Knights are reportedly trying to strike a deal with goaltender Adin Hill before he becomes an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
On Sunday, Sportsnet network ice hockey expert Elliotte Friedman said the 27-year-old had been offered a two-year contract worth $4.9 million a year.
It would be a pay rise for Hill, who just signed a two-year contract worth a total of $4.35 million. The masked man signed this agreement with the San Jose Sharks in August 2021.
The Golden Knights acquired Hill from the California club ahead of the start of the 2022-23 season. He played 27 games in the regular season, averaging a .915 save percentage and a 2.50 goals-against average.
Hill was the Golden Knights’ starter in the playoffs that ended in the organization’s first title. During his Stanley Cup run, he recorded a .932 save percentage and a 2.17 clean sheet average.
