Dennis Rodman is fighting back against homophobic trolls who are beating him up for wearing a skirt to the Pride event

Dennis Rodman has hit back when trolls slammed him for wearing a skirt at a Pride event in Houston on Sunday.

The former NBA star, 62, who is known for his revolutionary, gender-biased style and for being an LGBTQ+ ally, wore a tiny green plaid skirt and a shirt that read “Live and Love” as he joined the fans welcomed at the event.

The star, who once wore a wedding dress to wed in 1996, was seen happily posing for photos with his admirers but faced a spate of hateful homophobic comments online when he shared a post from the event.

The post was captioned, “Love will always win Happy Pride #gaypride #loveislove #pridemonth.”

The star clapped back at the backlash, posting a quirky post showing off his risqué outfits from the past and writing, “Researched guys #beenhim.”

Fans jumped to his rescue in the comments, too, writing, “Some of you guys are too young to remember this man literally MARRIED in full makeup and a wedding dress lol.”

Another typed, “Imagine following Dennis Rodman and being homophobic,” while one fan wrote, “I literally don’t understand how much you hate Rodman for that.” Like why you Rodman in the first place follow and that’s a surprise? He did that 20 years ago.’

Another typed, “Dude wore wedding dresses and NBA fans are surprised he’s an ally.”

This comes after Rodman shared the incredible stories from his personal life, including how sex became a “job” – how frequently he slept with different women, in his autobiography titled I Should Be Dead By Now.

Rodman, nicknamed “The Worm,” explains, “At this point in my life I’ve had sex with a lot of different women. So many that it sometimes turned into a job.”

However, meeting model Carmen Electra briefly changed everything. The couple had a tumultuous relationship and were even married for a short time before divorcing in 1999.

“It was different with Carmen. “It was nice to be with someone who is waiting for the right time, the right place, the right time,” Rodman explained.

Unveiling the details of a specific date, he reveals, “We went out for sushi, we came home, we lay on the bed and we looked at each other and we talked, we talked, we talked.”

“She was there four or five days, sleeping in my house, in my bed, and we never made love.” It was unreal.’

And while Rodman hadn’t slept with Electra back then, it was certainly something he did on a regular basis — as he’s explained numerous times.

In an interview with Vice TV, the now 62-year-old revealed the gruesome details of an injury he sustained while having sex on a boat.

“It was in Dallas, my then-girlfriend and I did everything,” he said. “I ran and jumped on top of her and all of a sudden… oh, blood all over the place. A white girl with blood all over her. She screamed, “Oh my god, he’s dead, he’s dead! I have killed him!”

“I said, ‘No honey, I just broke my penis.’
