Amy Shark is known for her music — and her iconic hairstyle.
The Australian singer has revealed why she wears her hair in a half up and bun at the top.
The 37-year-old tells Nine Honey the reason is simple – it’s mostly a matter of convenience.
“Because having a uniform makes my life easier and it’s also easy when I’m on the go,” she told the publication.
It comes after Amy revealed the sad reason she felt she needed to hide her marriage amid her rise to fame.

In 2016 she married her husband Shane Billings and signed her first recording contract two years later.
At the time, Amy felt she needed to keep their relationship a secret because record labels generally appreciated female pop stars appearing “single and desirable” — and even her Shane encouraged her to do so.
“In the beginning, Shane said, ‘Take your ring off!'” she told The Herald Sun.
“We were petrified because we finally got a record deal and things were happening, and at the time there was this old-fashioned thought that maybe things would go better if I was a mystery.”
Although the singer doesn’t post many photos of her husband on social media, she doesn’t hide him anymore.

“And now… people can think whatever they want to think,” she continued. “People are excited to see him; If they spot him on the side of the stage at a show, there are more photos of him than me!’
Amy and her husband are also now co-workers, having made him her operations manager three years ago.
The pair first met when they worked together for the Gold Coast Titans in 2007 — where she was video editor and he was financial manager.
Although a successful music career is a dream come true for Amy, she previously admitted that she often “deeply regrets” becoming a household name in Australia.

Speaking to the Courier Mail last year, she said, “I love it.” [fame] and it’s great, but then it can also be really ugly.
“And people change and everything feels different and weird, and some days it’s just like, ‘Argh, I just want to go back; I want to go back to not being associated with the name.’
“I’m constantly bouncing back and forth between taking advantage of Amy Shark and deeply regretting it.”
