Rental website Airbnb has unveiled Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse, an all-pink California mansion with an outdoor disco, infinity pool and Western-style bedroom.
Located oceanfront in western Malibu, California, the life-size dollhouse is rented out by Barbie’s partner Ken through an Airbnb listing that looks like the doll wrote it herself.
Kendom Saloon welcomes beach house guests
The home, previously listed by Airbnb to commemorate Barbie’s 60th anniversary in 2019, has recently been updated to give it more ‘kenergy’ and commemorate Barbie’s live-action debut in the Barbie film, starring Margot Robbie to celebrate.
“We all have dreams and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of dreams,” said Ken. “But now it’s my turn and I can’t wait to welcome guests to this unique – may I say unique Ken? – to house dwellings.”
A cowboy style bedroom is reminiscent of Ken’s style
The large oceanfront home features a pink bedroom decorated with cowhide rugs, cowboy hats and horse-themed throws, and a closet where guests can borrow Ken’s fringed cowboy shirts and his guitar.
Some of Barbie’s clothes, including the iconic high-heeled pink shoe with fluffy feather detailing from the film, are also hanging in the closet.

In the center of the building, on one of the house’s many terraces, guests have at their disposal an outdoor pink, purple and yellow disco dance floor with its own DJ deck.
“I added a few touches to add some much-needed K-Energy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu DreamHouse,” said Ken.
Barbie lists Malibu Dreamhouse on Airbnb
The Dreamhouse also features a bright pink outdoor lounge area, an outdoor gym – complete with a barrel filled with beefy body sole, a pink outdoor kitchen with BBQ, and an infinity pool.
Other details pointing to Ken’s acquisition include a Western-style swing door adorned with a picture of a horse and the words “Kendom Saloon,” and a crossed-out “Barbie” sign above the outdoor kitchen that now reads “Ken ” stands.
Guests can dance outdoors
Guests can enjoy nearby activities such as shopping, surfing, and rollerblading on the boardwalk, and can also take home their own yellow and pink Impala skates and surfboard.
Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse is available to book for up to two guests on July 21 and July 22, 2023, with bookings starting on July 17.
An outdoor gym offers weightlifting and “body soles”
“All stays will be free – because Ken hasn’t figured out how to price Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse – after all, Ken’s thing is the beach, not math!” Airbnb said.
In celebration of the Barbie film, the company is making a one-time donation to the charity Save the Children.
The movie recently made headlines for causing “the world to run out of pink,” while a recent book explored Barbie’s dream home through the ages.
