Could Cindy Remnants Evolve Into A New Tropical Depression Or Tropical Storm Don Near Bermuda? – fox weather

Remnants of Cindy now have a 10% chance to regrow

The remnants of Tropical Storm Cindy continue to orbit over the Atlantic Ocean near Bermuda, and the National Hurricane Center believes the system has a 10% chance of changing over the next 48 hours and a chance of changing over the next seven days developed by 30%.

Tropical Storm Cindy dissipated over the Atlantic Ocean Sunday night, but the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring its remains for possible recovery later this week.

The NHC said the low-pressure system associated with former Tropical Storm Cindy is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms more than 400 miles south of Bermuda.

HERE ARE THE KEY WORDS YOU WILL HEAR DURING HURRICANE SEASON

Strong high-altitude winds are expected to prevent sanitation of the system over the next day or two. However, the NHC said environmental conditions could become more favorable for a phased cleanup over the next seven days.

The system is expected to gradually move north across the western Atlantic, passing near Bermuda on Thursday.

The NHC gives Cindy’s remains a 10 percent chance to evolve over the next 48 hours and a 30 percent chance to evolve over the next seven days.

7 FACTS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HURRICANES

From Cindy to Don?

Although the shower and thunderstorm area NHC is monitoring was once Tropical Storm Cindy, once it becomes a tropical storm again it will have a new name: Don.

This is because the remains of Cindy no longer have a range.

So, should the thunderstorms solidify again and form a new tropical depression or storm, it would get a new number (Tropical Depression Five) and then a new name (Tropical Storm Don).
