EXCLUSIVE: Melania Trump smiles as she exits Trump Tower – a day after an audio recording surfaced of Donald admitting to taking confidential documents from the White House

Melania Trump beamed as she took to the streets of Manhattan, a day after a damning audio recording was leaked to the media in which Donald Trump spoke about confidential documents he took from the White House.

Melania, 53, was wearing a $3,550 classy gray Celine safari jacket, $795 Louboutin Kate shoes and a chic white skirt when she was spotted exiting Trump Tower on Tuesday afternoon.

She also carried a white Hermes Clemence Kelly II Retourne 35 handbag, which retails for over $7,600.

Her performance in Manhattan was her second in just two weeks, after being spotted on the East Coast on the day of Donald’s 77th birthday.

This visit was also a momentous day for her husband – he had spent the morning in Miami answering the classified documents case in federal court.

The former first lady has been said to be “grieving” at the risk of her husband going to jail as his legal troubles mount.

Her last trip to New York came when a shocking audio recording was leaked to CNN revealing that the former president was discussing and submitting a classified document on possible military action in Iran.

Specifically, Trump appears to be saying that he possesses a “classified” Pentagon document that contains plans for an attack on Iran.

“These are the papers,” Trump says while discussing the Pentagon’s attack plans, referring to what he says is “highly confidential.”

The audio comes from an interview Trump attended in Bedminster in July 2021, for people working on the memoir for the former president’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.

The former president expressed enthusiasm after the audio recording surfaced, claiming it actually “exonerated” him in his mounting legal battle.

“The deranged Special Attorney Jack Smith, in cooperation with the Justice Department and the FBI, illegally leaked and ‘spun’ a tape and transcript of me, which is actually an exoneration and not what they want you to believe,” Trump wrote on his Post Truth Social Platform.

“This ongoing witch hunt is another electoral fraud. They are scammers and thugs!’

The mention of the “secret” classification, revealed in Monday’s audio recording, was not included in the Justice Department’s indictment laying 37 charges against the ex-president.

Earlier this month he pleaded not guilty at a court hearing in Miami before returning to a press conference at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.

According to the indictment, those who attended the meeting where the audio recording took place included Trump, two of his associates, a writer and a publisher.
