Former soccer player Ryan Mallett has reportedly passed away at the age of 35.

Mallett, who played in the NFL for the New England Patriots, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, has reportedly drowned in Florida.

Deltaplex News first reported on the tragedy on Tuesday. He was taken to the hospital from a Florida beach, where he was pronounced dead.

Mallett played in the NFL from 2011 to 2017 after serving collegiate careers with Michigan and Arkansas.

He returned to the latter state to train at White Hall High School, taking on the role in February 2022.
