The police say that traffic delays are expected in the Place de Neuve, Rues-Basses and Rive areas this Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. In fact, these are the promotions in the city of Geneva, whose official name is Fête des écoles.
In the morning, the 1P and 2P classes, that is 3,300 students, will go to the bastions to enjoy the rides. Then it’s the turn of the 3P and 4P (3300 students) after the traditional parade all in disguise which starts at 2:30pm. Topic of this issue: “The 4 elements”.
The following axes will be severely affected and/or closed to traffic: rue de Candolle, rue du Conseil-Général, place de Neuve, boulevard Georges-Favon, rue de la Corraterie, rue François-Diday, rue Bovy-Lysberg, rue de Confederation, Rue de la Croix-d’Or, Rue Verdaine, Rue Théodore-De-Bèze and Boulevard Emile-Jacques-Dalcroze.
Access to the Saint-Antoine car park remains permitted. Public transport will also be restricted during this event. Therefore, diversions of lines are planned. Further information: www.tpg.ch.
