This Tuesday, DC Studios announced the actor who will breathe life into the mythical ‘Man of Steel’, replacing Hollywood star Henry Cavill in American director James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ film.
DC Studios has tapped actor David Corenswet to portray Clark Kent and Cavill’s replacement in the new movie that DC is preparing, Superman: Legacy. Directed by James Gunn, who also directs Guardians of The Galaxy, Marvel film.
However, Superman won’t be the only actor making his debut, as Lois Lane, the Man of Steel’s love interest previously played by Amy Adams, is now played by actress Rachel Brosnahan.
According to Gunn’s explanation, this new version of the superhero will be a story that has its roots in the workplace. Additionally, the film director, along with fellow DC director Peter Safran, commented on the details of the “Superman” narrative. Legacy’.

For her part, Rachel Brosnahan is a little better known than her co-star, having starred in the hit series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, a film that has so far earned her an Emmy and two Golden Globe Awards.

This comes months after British actor Henry Cavill announced he would no longer be playing the Justice League superhero.
The artist commented on his Instagram account: “I just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news for everyone. After all, I won’t come back as Superman.
“This message is not the easiest, but such is life. The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that. James and Peter have to build a universe. I wish them and everyone involved in the new universe good luck and a happy destiny.”said the actor.
The decision, which surprised both the actor and his fans, is believed to have been a decision by Gunn, who minutes earlier confirmed that he would be writing a new “Superman” movie that would focus on the superhero’s younger years .
This announcement comes after his appearance in the post-credits scene of the recently released film Black Adam and marked his return to the role since 2017’s Justice League.
