Kim Cattrall said HBO asked what they could do to get her on board "And just like that" And she just revealed her cause

Kim Cattrall had a big request before agreeing to “And Just Like That.”

The only news about her upcoming appearance is that her character Samantha will be on the phone with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) in the season finale. Kim reportedly didn’t film with her SATC cast members Sarah, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

Fans are very excited for Kim’s (brief) return to the SATC universe…including Alyssa Farrah Griffin.

On Wednesday, Kim stopped by The View to promote her new Netflix series Glamorous, although Alyssa took a moment during the interview to ask what Kim thought about her “And Just Like That… ‘ appearance could reveal.

This prompted Kim to address an important inquiry she had when HBO called asking if she would be on the show.

“It’s very interesting to get a call from the head of HBO saying, ‘What can we do?'” Kim said. “I said, ‘Hmm, let me get creative.'”

“One of those things was getting Pat Field back,” she continued.

Pat was SATC’s longtime and celebrated costume designer and won an Emmy in 2002 for her work on the show. Pat was also nominated for an Oscar for her costume design in The Devil Wears Prada.

Pat did not return as costume designer for And Just Like That… and Molly Rogers has taken on the role. Pat is currently the costume designer for Emily in Paris.

For Kim, however, she needed Pat back for her scene.

“I just thought if I come back, I’m going to come back with this Samantha style,” Kim said. “I had to push it, and we did.”

Pat and Kim have maintained a friendship over the years, with Pat even dressing Kim’s character in Glamorous. There’s also a new documentary about Pat called Happy Clothes, and Kim attended the film’s premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 15.

So Kim and Pat both worked (temporarily) on And Just Like That…? Okay, now Kim’s performance really can’t come soon enough.
