Fran Mariano, a former contestant on popular Argentine reality show Cuestion de Peso, underwent a remarkable metamorphosis when he underwent more than 30 plastic surgeries to look like his idol, Ricky Martin.

After appearing on the TV show, Fran gave an interview to Argentina’s Mañanissima and revealed that she’s managed to lose an impressive 92 kg. This experience was the starting point for his journey to the performance of the famous Puerto Rican singer.

As some friends had already pointed out similarities between them, Fran decided to make some changes to her face to make it more like Ricky.
“When I took a picture of him, I realized I liked what I saw and like everything in life, if I like something, I move on. […] I just wanted to feel good, like a normal person. That’s not what I wanted. I was abused by my brother. I just wanted to be someone else, maybe not necessarily Ricky Martin, but someone else,” Mariano said.
With more than 181,000 followers on Instagram, the trainer, who once weighed 176kg, expressed how much he cares about what people think of his looks and confessed that he loves being complimented.
Additionally, Fran admitted to developing an addiction to cosmetic procedures.
“I’ll be honest: I care a lot about what other people think. Nothing brings me more joy than hearing “how beautiful you are”. For most of my life I was in a body I didn’t want to be in.
Fran Mariano regularly shares the results of his procedures on social networks and has already revealed that he was the victim of a medical error that affected a nerve in his face, causing a loss of movement in certain parts of his face.
“I had oil on my eyebrows and eyelids and it fell out. Another doctor removed it, but the scar remained. Now I wear contact lenses, otherwise I can’t see. The liquid injected into me pooled in my eyes. I woke up in severe pain and my face was all swollen,” he revealed.
