Vivo launches the Vivo V29 Lite, a smartphone with a stylish design and quite solid specifications for its price of 350 euros.

Despite a ban on selling its smartphones on the German market, Vivo continues its journey in France. The Chinese company, fifth manufacturer in the world, still quite discreet in France, launches the Vivo V29 Lite.
The successor to the Vivo V23, which featured an iPhone-style notch and a color-changeable back cover, this Vivo V29 Lite comes with a solid spec sheet at a price of €350.
Why is it convincing on paper?
For this price, Vivo has managed to pack in a 120Hz OLED screen, 44W charging with a 5000mAh battery, and eSIM compatibility, which is still extremely rare at this price point, and all in one feather-light weight of 177 g. Cap.
More anecdotally, the 5G smartphone will also have a 64-megapixel sensor, plus two very, very secondary sensors (a macro and a “bokeh” camera, both 2-megapixels), a 16-megapixel selfie sensor, and a IP 54 certification that protects against splashing water and dust.
The Oled screen we talked about above has a Full HD+ resolution and, as Vivo promises us in the press release, covers a wide range of DCI-P3 colors. Also, it is bent 60 degrees on both sides for better grip. Hopefully this doesn’t also result in unwanted touches on the screen. As is so often the case, Vivo offers an extended RAM system, here in the 3.0 generation. This allows the 8GB of RAM to be boosted up to a further 8GB by retrieving from ROM. Keep in mind that this extended RAM is not as fast as “real RAM”.
The most notable concession of this beautiful spec sheet is undoubtedly the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, already found in mid-range smartphones last year. Depending on the case, we have had somewhat slow smartphones with this chip.
Availability and prices of the Vivo V29 Lite
The Vivo V29 Lite will be available from June 29 at a price of 350 euros in the 8 GB + 128 GB memory variant. It comes with a 44W charger and a protective case, which we imagine will be made of silicone.
