British actor Julian Sands, who has been missing for five months, was finally found dead on a mountain near Los Angeles, authorities said.

The man had been hiking alone when historic snow showers hit the region last January.
The search for him in January was quickly canceled due to the increased risk of avalanches.
Other excavations started later that winter had turned up nothing, according to Portal.
Finally, bones of hikers were found on June 24 in the San Gabriel Mountains of San Bernandino County.
Authorities confirmed three days later that they belonged to actor Julian Sands, best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film A Room with a View.
At the time of his disappearance, county authorities were repeatedly requesting that everyone go to Mount Baldy, where the comedian was headed.
