Kelly Clarkson has a lot to say about her alleged falling out with Carrie Underwood

Kelly Clarkson is desperate to prove she “knows nothing” with fellow American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.

The talk show host accidentally rushed while addressing reports of a feud with the country music singer during an appearance Tuesday on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live.

When a fan called with a question and started asking about Underwood, Clarkson jumped in and cut her off.

“Kelly, after years of everyone trying to pit you and Carrie Underwood against each other —” the fan said, as Clarkson replied, “I think I know where you’re going with this.”

“People are always setting us against each other, and we don’t even know each other well enough to be pitted against each other,” she said. “We literally met a couple of times. There is no conflict between us. There is nothing! We do not know each other.”

Clarkson then got a bit embarrassed when Cohen walked in and asked the fan, “What was the rest of you?” [question]?

When the caller said, “…What was your favorite thing about having her as a guest on your talk show?” Clarkson laughed at her quick response and got up from her chair.

“See, everyone always asks me the ‘pitched’ question,” the “Since U Been Gone” singer said of her immediate response, before saying it was “great” to have Underwood on the show.

“I think the cool thing about that is that everybody’s always pitting us against the other, and I don’t know why they do that — they don’t do that with guys!” she said. “We don’t even know each other well enough for that. But I think I would like to have them [on the show] personal. It was during COVID, so over Zoom.”

Clarkson has previously addressed the alleged feud between the two, once taking to Twitter to shut down reports after Star magazine claimed the singers engaged in an explosive argument and “made each other friends.” “.

“Someone just sent me this and I’m wondering why she’s taking the good picture and I have the worst facial expression I’ve ever done with no muscles engaged in my face ha!” Clarkson tweeted back in 2019 along with one Photo of the cover in question.

“I’m officially in a feud with whoever used this picture! “At least give me a good photo, if y’all are lying that’s all I wanna say,” she quipped.

The two also kindly responded to a poll on Twitter asking fans to vote for the “most iconic” Idol winner — Underwood or Clarkson.

“I think we’ve both won in life and are quite blessed! Singers, moms, CEOs…” Clarkson wrote.

“Anyway, girl, I voted for you!” Underwood replied. “But seriously, I wish more releases would just celebrate the success of women without pitting them against each other… Just my thoughts… Anyway… I love you!” I hope You are fine!”
