Blue Jays defeat Giants

The Toronto Blue Jays responded well to their shutout loss the night before, defeating the San Francisco Giants 6-1 at the Rogers Center on Wednesday night.

The local favorites didn’t have much good to offer on Tuesday as they trailed 3-0. This time the offensive woke up in the first set with a five-point advance.

Brandon Belt, who spent the first 12 seasons of his career in San Francisco, scored a brace and was imitated by Whit Merrifield and Daulton Varsho. Bo Bichette and Danny Jansen also scored points in singles.

Austin Slater hit a long ball from pitcher Trevor Richards (1-0) in the fifth inning. It was the only mistake made by the winning shooter, who was substituted on four times at batting.

The series ends on Thursday evening.

The Braves honor their rank

There is no team more dominant in the National League this season than the Atlanta Braves. The Georgia club have won nine of their last ten games, including all three games against the Minnesota Twins.

The victory at the end of the sweep was convincing: The Braves won 3-0. Matt Olson made the difference again with his 26th home run of the season. The first baseman is only beaten by Shohei Ohtani and his 28 long balls.

Team Georgia’s pitchers did a great job keeping the batters limited to four hits. Among their casualties was Quebec’s Édouard Julien, who was eliminated in the seventh game due to a groundball when he was alone on the field.
