20 October
(October – 2015)
“And October flew by, another year without taking the time to quietly watch fall. » Is there a better way to sing the time that flies too fast? My favorite song from the band because it makes me stop and enjoy the little things in life. (SEN)
19 Of a sadness
(The antipodes2019)
Don’t be fooled by the cheerful rhythm and festive Slavic influences. Carried by Karl Tremblay’s rebellious song, D’une triste aptly states that things are not going so well in our world: “Man 2.0 searches for shit like a fly.” “In the Shadow of America is Crying” is a hidden one Treasure from the album “Les Antipodes”. 18 straight ahead
(Shipment – 2008)
A parent telling their child what life has in store for them: that’s the story behind this initiation-tinged song. It is touching to use this boat trip metaphor to talk about life where you have to hold your head up and look straight ahead. A nice gift for an album that fans of the band have been waiting for for four years. (SEN)
17 On site
(Motel Capri2000)
“It’s like you took a box cutter and cut the cord to my heart” is undoubtedly one of the best phrases in Quebec song. Lyricist Jean-François Pauzé is a master of the art of writing nostalgic anthems that still touch us two decades later. (RGM)
16 Nowadays
(High fair – 2004)
This track perfectly combines sad verses sung by a fallen lover and refrains “Hop Life” that give the protagonist hope for a happier future. We love it when the group makes us laugh through the gray of a love that used to work but doesn’t exist anymore. (SEN)
