A 7yearold boy and his mother died on Thursday (29) after falling overboard from a passenger ferry from a height of 20 meters into the Baltic Sea.
According to Extra, Swedish authorities reported that the child fell off the ship bound for Poland from Sweden and that the mother instinctively jumped overboard to try to save him. The two were even lifted into a helicopter and taken to a hospital in Karlskrona, Sweden, but they didn’t resist.
“Unfortunately, in the morning, we received information from the Swedish side that we have to deliver this terrible news to the family, since both the boy and the woman are dead,” said police spokesman Mariusz Ciarka, according to “Sun”.
