Relationship between marital status and heart health
A survey conducted by the University Hospital of Würzburg yielded some very interesting insights into marital status and heart health. They found that single people are at higher risk of heart disease and even death from these conditions. But calm down, no need to panic.
Researchers think this may be related to the social support that marriage brings. Having someone by your side can mean having emotional support and a little extra help taking care of your health.
Medical records of patients with heart failure were analyzed over a period of 10 years. And they found that singles among them had a higher rate of heart attacks. Unfortunately, several people died during this time.
research data
The study showed that being single increased your risk of dying from any cause by 58% and your risk of dying from heart disease by 83%. And believe me, widowers were at greatest risk. They were 122% more likely to die than married couples.
But despite these strange findings, it’s important to remember that heart health doesn’t just depend on marital status. There are several things that can affect you, such as poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking and stress.
Exercising, eating right and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are important attitudes for the health of the body. Finally, selflove and wellbeing are fundamental.
