Hands on review of the Philips 45B1U6900C SuperWide monitor 45 inch 329

Hands-on review of the Philips 45B1U6900C SuperWide monitor: 45-inch 32:9 PC monitor – notebookcheck.biz

The 32:9 aspect ratio might be too big for many people. However, this format can have benefits for gaming and productivity. In addition to its impressive width of 45 inches, the Philips monitor has numerous functions such as a KVM switch, an Ethernet port and a USB hub.

However, we were a bit disappointed when it came to the key element of a monitor: picture quality. The panel was uncalibrated on arrival and delivered slightly washed out images in our opinion. The viewing angle is also inadequate: the images displayed on the screen take on a gray cast and a red cast as soon as you look a little higher or a little lower at the screen. Ultimately, you pay around 1,000 euros for a very wide screen, but there are better, albeit significantly more expensive, options in terms of image quality.

The Philips 45B1U6900C’s SuperWide form factor is superb, as is its feature set, which includes a KVM switch, an Ethernet port, and a USB hub. Unfortunately, we’re not really impressed with the image quality of the product. There are much better, albeit more expensive, options out there.
