Shania Twain, 57, falls onstage during a concert in Illinois but recovers quickly and continues singing
Five-time Grammy winner Shania Twain slipped and fell Saturday during her sold-out concert at the Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in Tinley Park, Illinois.
The 57-year-old Canadian crooner, who relies on stylist Chris Horan, was wearing a glittery pair of thigh-high boots while performing her 1997 song “Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)” when it happened.
Shania (born Eilleen Edwards) was strutting across the stage during her third song in the setlist when her right foot slipped and she landed on her butt.
But Twain didn’t miss a single lyric and continued singing the song as she stood up again, gently testing the friction of the slippery spot where she’d fallen.
Eyewitnesses told TMZ on Sunday that “the packed crowd didn’t react when Shania took her pill” because she went on with the show without a hitch.

The “Queen of Country Pop” has never met a thigh-high boot she didn’t love, and has even bought a pair of size 7.5 boots just because she “loves them so much.”
“I saw the boot and thought, ‘Oh, these are going to be overpriced.’ But they were on sale. So I say to the seller, “Do you have a 6.5?” She says, “No, that’s the last pair,” Shania confessed in a June 17 TikTok.
“I said, ‘Well, I’m going to try them on anyway.’ You know that feeling where you love something so much you want it to fit, even though you know it doesn’t? They’re a size too big for me, but I just wear socks in them and it works!
“So I don’t know if squeezing your foot into a smaller boot is a good idea, but I wear them too big anyway, just because I love them!”
Up next, Twain is scheduled to bring her 76-date “Queen Of Me” tour to the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY this Monday.
The Starstruck judge’s tour supports her sixth studio album, which she wrote and recorded during the pandemic and was released on February 3.
Shania will also appear alongside six other music superstars on Jack Martin’s music extravaganza, disguised as the game show “Superfan,” which premieres August 9 on CBS. However, her episode won’t air until August 16.
