Matt Duchene finds a job

Forward Matt Duchene will continue his career with the Dallas Stars.

Duchene has signed a one-season deal that will net him $3 million.

The 32-year-old athlete had an $8 million average annual contract with the Predators through 2026, which the Tennessee team bought on Friday.

The forward scored 56 points, including 22 goals, in 71 games last season. With 86 points, including 43 goals in 78 games, he enjoyed a resurgence in 2021/22.

He also played for the Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Duchene is very close to the prestigious 1,000-game plateau, having played 976 in 14 seasons at the Bettman Circuit. The center player has collected 744 points in his career so far and broke through the opposing walls 316 times.
