Vigilance announcements follow one another… Guadeloupe will experience the effects of the 16th tropical wave of the year this Monday, July 3, from the early afternoon, Météo France announces in its bulletin.

Heavy showers, accompanied by gusts of wind and sometimes thunderstorms, are expected over the entire Guadeloupe archipelago in the afternoon. Those first showers
are generally short-lived.
The showers intensify in the evening and last until the early hours of the morning. This show success could lead to significant rain accumulations in places (approx. 50 to 80 mm in 3 hours or less), particularly in southern Basse-Terre, where the wettest sector is likely to be.

In addition, the electrical activity should be quite pronounced, the forecasters specify.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, showers will gradually ease over the course of the morning as dry, hazy air gains ground behind the wave.

The end of the event is expected to take place on Tuesday, July 4th at 12 noon.
