EXCLUSIVE: Angela Scanlon ‘signs up for Strictly Come Dancing’ after striking BBC producers as a ‘glamorous yet wholesome’ TV presenter
TV favorite Angela Scanlon will reportedly appear in Strictly Come Dancing’s return later this year.
The Chron are able to reveal that 39-year-old Irish redhead Angela, who currently hosts BBC2 program Your House Made Perfect, is among the first batch of celebrities to sign up for the popular dance competition, which is entering its 21st season .Season returns.
Sources at the BBC say they are delighted to have her on their team and add that they expect her to be one of the first contenders to go far in the competition.
She first rose to fame on BBC’s One Show and received her own show in 2019 which made her a household name.
A source said: “It’s difficult to get the mix right for Strictly every year, but the producers think Angela is perfect for it.”

Angela also recently opened up about her 15-year battle with an eating disorder. In her autobiography, Joyrider, she revealed her mental health struggles and how she sought therapy.
She wrote: “I managed to paint a decent picture and life was looking good, I got the big job on entertainment television, I had a hairdressing commercial, I did all the shiny red carpet stuff and I got worse than ever.” my life.
